The story “The Kissing Hand” is a wonderful story

The story “The Kissing Hand” is a wonderful story that helps children manage separation anxiety and navigate transition particularly for students starting big school for the first time.
The teachers of K1 on 12th April 2024 narrated the story to the students through puppets and voice modulation and discussed the emotions that Chester, the raccoon experienced as he prepared to go to school thereby providing emotional support and reassurance to students as they adjusted being away from home. Teachers incorporated hands on activity wherein the students made puppets of the story to reinforce the story at home.
By fostering feelings of love, security and courage the story helped students to navigate the transition from home to school with confidence and resilience. The students thoroughly enjoyed the story as well as the craft activity.
