KIS had the honor of hosting a Brain Gym workshop

On April 12th, KIS had the honor of hosting a Brain Gym workshop led by Dr. Arzoo Bala, the distinguished founder of TICKLES: Child Therapy Centre. Brain Gym, a pioneering program developed by Paul and Gail Dennison in the 1980s, aims to enhance cognitive abilities and brain function through targeted physical and mental exercises.
The workshop provided our educators with an array of Brain Gym exercises meticulously designed to augment learning and performance. These exercises serve not only as aids in educational settings, where they can be employed to prepare students for learning and provide essential respite, but also as invaluable tools in therapeutic contexts, aiding individuals with learning disabilities, ADHD, and other cognitive impediments.
Armed with these new techniques, our educators departed the workshop poised to cultivate improved learning environments and elevate student engagement and concentration. The insights imparted by Dr. Bala hold the promise of effecting a substantial impact within our classrooms and extending beyond. We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Arzoo Bala for graciously sharing her expertise, and eagerly anticipate the seamless integration of these practices into our daily pedagogical routines.
