Exciting Update! Our talented high school students from Grades 9-12 and IGCSE-1 embarked on an unforgettable journey into the world of “Drama & Theatre”!
On Tuesday, October 18, 2023, our school had the privilege of hosting the renowned Broadway star, J. Elaine Marcos, for an inspiring workshop. The session aimed to immerse our students in the rich tapestry of performing arts, encompassing dance, music, opera, theatre, musical theatre, and directing.
Diving deep into the workshop, Ms. Marcos not only shared her incredible life experiences but also ignited the students’ creativity by encouraging them to participate in theatrical activities. One highlight was the creation of a captivating story game, where five students collaborated to weave a unique and amazing tale. Each student added a word related to the last, resulting in a truly magical story!
The students also had the opportunity to share their perspectives, guided by the invaluable advice of Ms. Marcos. She provided insights on dos and don’ts, paving the way for these young talents to explore the realms of performing arts.
As the workshop concluded, J. Elaine Marcos extended her wisdom to those aspiring to pursue performing arts as a profession. She recommended considering enrollment in AMDA University, Los Angeles, for those eager to further their passion and craft.
