On May 30th, 2024, the final session of our professional development day at Kothari International School, Noida, was a creatively enriching workshop led by our passionate arts faculty member, Ms. Alphee Kumar. The theme for this session was the vibrant and diverse world of Folk Art.
Ms. Kumar began with an insightful historical overview of folk art from regions like Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, honoring the traditions and renowned artists in this field.
Participants were then provided with meticulously crafted printed materials, allowing them to dive into the practical aspect of folk artistry. Guided by Ms. Kumar’s enthusiasm and expertise, educators engaged wholeheartedly, creating their own pieces of folk art.
This workshop beautifully blended artistic expression with pedagogy, providing an enriching and enjoyable experience for all involved. It was a wonderful opportunity for our educators to explore new creative avenues and bring a piece of cultural heritage into their teaching practices.
