Sustainable Fashion Workshop at Kothari International School, Noida

On 16th July 2024, we hosted an immersive experiential workshop on sustainable fashion, focusing on paper draping techniques for aspiring designers. In collaboration with the Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) and facilitated by the esteemed Prof. Ankur Gulati, this workshop was a unique platform for students to explore eco-conscious practices in the fashion industry.
Prof. Gulati emphasized the importance of making environmentally friendly choices in fashion without compromising style. Students discovered how to create fashion products that are both stylish and sustainable, contributing to a positive impact on the planet.
Participants were actively involved in designing sustainable fashion products using paper draping techniques. The hands-on activities enabled students to experiment with sustainable materials and explore their creative potential while understanding the significance of ethical fashion production.
The workshop concluded with a showcase of the students’ creations, highlighting their innovative designs and sustainable fashion products. Each participant received a certificate of attendance and special goodies, adding an extra layer of excitement and motivation.
This event was not just a learning experience but an inspiring journey that empowered participants to incorporate eco-conscious practices into their future design endeavors, promoting a more sustainable fashion industry.
This workshop is part of Kothari International School’s ongoing efforts to provide students with experiential learning opportunities that foster creativity, sustainability, and ethical practices in various fields. We believe that by equipping our students with knowledge and skills in sustainable practices, we are preparing them to be responsible and innovative leaders of the future.
