GRADE 6 Excursion to the National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy!

On July 23rd, 2024, our Grade 6 students embarked on an enriching journey to the National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy in New Delhi. They encountered diverse village setups, traditions, fabrics, paintings, and crafts, immersing themselves in India’s rich cultural heritage.
The realistic displays captivated their imagination, showcasing utensils, toys, dyes, and sculptures from ancient times. Students were spellbound by intricate weavings, vibrant paintings, and traditional artifacts that brought history to life.
This experience deepened their appreciation for indigenous crafts and fostered a deeper understanding of regional diversity and craftsmanship. The trip concluded with an awe-inspiring audio-visual introduction to traditional toy making, motivating them to support homeland-made products. The museum visit was both educational and inspiring, offering a glimpse into the artistic traditions that shape India’s cultural tapestry.
