ACTIVITY: KALA DHAROHAR GRADE 8

To promote a sustained and structured cultural connection in the areas of language learning, culture, etc., students of Grade 8 carried out KALA DHAROHAR, which was a theme-based wall magazine activity. It drew their eagerness in the tender art and culture of Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh and grew and inspired artistic tastes among the students.
The activity motivated students to look beyond their classroom and textbooks and enabled them to create impressive and breath-taking posters, paintings, and craftwork. Students undertook research work and produced work that was surely a visual treat. Their creations depicted art, culture, flora, and fauna along with the traditional dressing and food of the paired states. The activity also ensured that students learn life skills of collaborating and cooperating organically.
12 students of Grade 8 along with 1 teacher gave life to the walls of the classroom. Wall Magazine reflected innovation, expression, and vibrancy in every sense.
In a nutshell, this activity not just paved a path to independent thinking but also ensured fruitful and joyful learning.
