The students of Grade 4 were taken to the Biology Laboratory for an interactive learning session

As part of our Science curriculum, the students of Grade 4 were taken to the Biology Laboratory for an interactive learning session on the structure of a tooth. A large and detailed 3D model of a human tooth was used to demonstrate the different parts including enamel, dentin, pulp, root, and gum. The session also introduced students to the various types of teeth incisors, canines, premolars, and molars and their specific functions in a simple, engaging manner.
Through hands-on observation, students were able to visualise internal tooth structures that are otherwise difficult to imagine. The session also reinforced important concepts related to dental hygiene and healthy eating habits, making the experience both informative and practical.
What stood out was the level of curiosity and involvement displayed by the students. They asked thoughtful questions, shared personal observations, and remained enthusiastically engaged throughout the session. It was a meaningful extension of classroom learning, made more powerful through visual and experiential methods.
