Grade 5 Number Scavenger Hunt!
Our Grade 5 students recently participated in an exciting Mathematics activity called the “Number Scavenger Hunt.” This engaging exercise was designed to help students understand and identify large numbers through a collaborative and hands-on approach.
Students brought cut-outs of numbers from magazines, newspapers, and printed sheets, ranging from single digits to thousands. They worked in pairs to sort and choose the largest numbers, comparing values and understanding the place value of each digit. The activity not only reinforced their math skills but also encouraged peer learning and critical thinking.
It was a highly engaging and educational experience, combining fun with practical mathematical practice!
