Students from Kothari International School, Panvel recently embarked on an inspiring field visit to the Yusuf Meherally Centre, a pioneering organization in rural development founded in 1961. This hands-on experience aimed to deepen their understanding of small-scale industries and environmental conservation.
Our young learners engaged in creative activities like crafting pots and lamps from clay and observed the fascinating process of soap making. They explored the vermiculture project, learning how biodegradable waste transforms into natural fertilizers, and witnessed oil extraction from til, groundnut, and bitter badam at the Tel Ghani center. The visit also included a glimpse into carpentry, biogas energy demonstrations, and a tour of a nursery showcasing medicinal plants.
This enriching experience fostered a strong appreciation for sustainability and innovation in our students!
