Kothari IB School Diploma Programme

The IB Diploma Programme is among the most prestigious pre-university courses in the World. It is a two-year course and examinations are taken at the end of Grade 12. It is designed to provide a holistic approach to education. This approach nurtures not just academic excellence, but also civic responsibility, articulateness and international understanding. Very early streaming often leaves students at a disadvantage in a rapidly changing World. IBDP mandates a broad-based curriculum that covers all basic disciplines and also offers the opportunity for increased focus in chosen ones. The Science class for Cambridge Lower Secondary-3 students, was enriched with an engaging ICT skills activity titled “Build an Atom.”

Learners enthusiastically used computers to simulate the structure of atoms by selecting protons, neutrons, and electrons. This was followed by an exploration of the interactive periodic table through online educational games. The session not only strengthened their conceptual clarity but also fostered critical thinking and digital fluency. Learners demonstrated excitement as they connected theoretical knowledge with hands-on virtual experiences. KIS, Noida (IB & Cambridge) hosted an enlightening session on "How an Admission Officer Reviews the University Application" for Cambridge students of Grades AS, A Levels & IBDP-1. We were privileged to host Ms. Harriet Coutinho, International Admission Officer at University of Connecticut as a distinguished guest speaker. Drawing upon her extensive experience reviewing applications, Ms. Coutinho guided students through the anatomy of a strong application, from the relative weight of academic records, essays, recommendations and extracurriculars, to effective ways of structuring personal statements and statements of purpose. The session became even more engaging during the Q&A segment, as students posed insightful questions covering various aspects.

Kothari International School, Noida (IB & Cambridge) recently hosted an illuminating Kindness counts: Building a caring classroom session for Cambridge students of Grades 4 & 5. The resource person for this session was Ms. Vanya Chadha, Faculty of Psychology & School Counsellor (IB & Cambridge). Ms. Chadha guided students through mindful breathing that enabled them to connect with the present. The heart of the session was the Kindness Tree Leaf activity, wherein students wrote and shared acts of kindness, both within and outside the classroom. During the session, the students were introduced to the concept of Kindness and the Significance of building a caring classroom using reflective activities.

We are proud to share that our Cambridge students, Kothari International School, Noida (IB & Cambridge), showcased an outstanding performance at the Inter-School Aquatic Championship, held at DWPS Noida Extension, winning multiple accolades across various categories. Ayaan Kapoor, a Grade AS Level, emerged as a star performer with two gold medals in the 50m freestyle and 4×50m freestyle relay, along with a silver in the 50m butterfly.
